During recent times we have been faced with an Intellectual Property challenge. This process will result in a small adaptation to our brand name, we will now trade as ‘Pietro Gallus Estate’, (Gallus meaning ‘rooster’ in Latin) rather than ‘Pietro Gallo Estate’.
John Di Pietro and Anna Gallo remain the proud owners and managing duo of the estate, home to Olivigna Restaurant, Pietro Gallus Distillery and Cellar Door. We are committed to offering you a taste of ‘the sweet life’ through our paddock to plate modern-Italian cuisine and quality Australian crafted spirits.
The rooster family seal remains a tribute to founders John and Anna, with John’s surname loosely translating to ‘stone’ in Italian and Anna’s surname to ‘rooster’.
We would like to share our sincerest gratitude to everyone who has supported the business over the recent challenging times enforced by COVID-19.
Our passion for good food, grappa, wine and liqueur remains at the heart of everything we do and we are so excited to share with you all the new things we have been working on.
From the entire team, we are eager to welcome you all back to experience a taste of Italy, right here in Warrandyte South.
So, we can once again sip, savour, taste and share the finer things in life with the people who matter most to us.
